The abdomen is the part of the body which contains all the digestive organs and vital organs such as liver, kidneys, spleen and pancreas. This is seen to be infected bulging pouches of the inner lining of the large intestine. For serious cases, diverticulitis may require surgery but mild cases can be treated with simple remedies such as rest and pain medicines or antibiotics.
The risk of not drinking enough fluids can be a factor in having kidney stones which might trigger pain in lower right abdomen. These are hard mass made up of crystals formed within the kidney or urinary tract. This medical condition is common even for kids, and is usually treated by drinking fluids and taking pain medication. In cases where complications arise and constant pain is experienced in an unreasonable period of time, surgery may be required.
